Top 5 Buffet Restaurants in Mumbai – Explore With Me

Must Try

‘City of Dreams’ is what they call Mumbai but I would rather call it – a food lover’s paradise. Multiple cuisines can be found here. From street food like Vada pav, Pani Puri, Pav Bhaji to delicacies like Bombil Fry, Pooran Poli, Misal, this city does not disappoint.

Being a foodie, exploring different restaurants and trying new & unique food gives me immense happiness. On days where I wish to have a hearty meal, Buffet is my first option. Not only do you get to choose from a variety but you can eat how much ever you want at a fixed price!

I have tried a bunch of buffet restaurants in Mumbai but there are a special few that have my heart. So here are the top 5 restaurants that serve the best buffet spread. This list was curated after taking into consideration the variety available, my experience at a particular outlet, the prices, reviews of other customers and of course THE TASTE!

SIGREE GLOBAL GRILL

Having outlets in Malad and Powai, this place tops the buffet list. Sigree Global Grill serves a North Indian and Mediterranean buffet. The cosy décor and classy ambience will give you the comfort to enjoy your meal to the fullest.

With grills on your table, they make sure the food is served hot! Where usually buffets are known for their starters, this place has an even better main course, not just in terms of taste but also the unique dishes that they serve. So do keep some space in your tummies for the same!

Their menu changes often but a few must-try dishes are the tikkas and seafood barbeques. Do not miss the chaat counter. They do serve pizzas & pasta but would recommend you to skip to the main course – Ghosht biryani, Lemon & herb chicken with mushroom sauce, Thai green curry. The desserts are average.

Pocket Pinch : Rs.2000 for 2 (Approx.)

GLOBAL FUSION

Another favourite is this place serving an array of Sushi’s, Tempuras, Dim sums and a lot of other South-East Asian food. If you are a fan of Japanese and Chinese cuisine then you should not miss this place. The outlets are huge, chic and elegant! Great place for family gatherings or a classy dinner.

They have a massive spread of appetizers and each one is worth trying. You could skip the mains since they serve the regular Chinese dishes like Manchurian, Thai Curry and Noodles. Must have starters are Baked prawns with cheese, Prawn Tempura, Sushi, Crispy corn and Chicken Teriyaki. Continental dishes are also served here. The dessert range is out of the world!

Pocket Pinch : Rs.2500 for 2 (Approx.)

Global Fusion

ABSOLUTE BARBEQUES

Also known as the AB’s, this place is located in Powai. AB’s is famous for serving exotic meats like Quail, Shark, Squid, Octopus and Bunny.

The ambience is not as good as I expected it to be but the variety is what makes this place special. The starters are served on grills at the table. Chaat, pizza and pasta live counters are available. Main Course includes Paneer Makhani, Butter Chicken, Curries which are served with Naan bread, Rotis and Rice. You also get to choose from a bunch of desserts like Chilli Ice cream, Gajar Ka Halwa and Mini Cheesecakes, to name a few.

AB’s is unique from other restaurants mainly because of the various meat available and the funky menu. The price is also reasonable compared to other buffet restaurants.

Pocket Pinch : Rs.1400 for 2 (Approx.)

Absolute Barbeques

MELTING POT

Situated in Juhu, this place serves amazing Seafood and lip-smacking Indian & Chinese dishes. Don’t miss out on the crab soup. It’s a lovely broth packed with flavours and good chunks of crab meat.

Appetizers include different kinds of tikkas and kebabs. Rawas fish is utterly delicious. For main course, they have Murgh Tikka Masala, Paneer/Chicken Handi and Mangalorean Ghee Roast which should be tried. These are served with Appam, Butter naan and Rumali rotis. You also get a few Chinese dishes. Desserts here are good but no great variety. The restaurant is close to Juhu Beach with simple and elegant décor. A bit heavy on the pocket but definitely worth trying out.

Pocket Pinch : Rs.2200 for 2 (Approx.)

 MAINLAND CHINA

Mainland China has got to be one of my favourite Chinese restaurant, be it A la carte or buffet. Currently, they only have a lunch buffet. The ambience of this place is beautiful. The exquisite Chinese décor gives it an edge.

The restaurant has an amazing spread of Asian delicacies. The starters are the highlight of the buffet, Dim sums being the best appetizer. Absolutely love it! Crispy wontons, Dumplings, Basa fish, Chicken drums are a few other must-try starters. The main course is average so I would recommend gorging on the starters and desserts.

Mainland China has several outlets in Mumbai. If it happens to be your birthday, they might surprise you with a small cake and some fun music!

Pocket Pinch : Rs.1800 for 2 (Approx.)
