SWAPS
This is a versatile dish, you can make it with ground chicken, ground turkey or ground beef. You can also leave out the green chilis if you are not a fan. We love this dish made this way but you can definitely switch things up!
🍽️HOW TO MAKE
This dish is easy to make and once you make the meat and cook the pasta you are set!
Step 1Cook pasta according to the direction on the box and drain. Cook minced garlic, onion, and ground beef on top of the stove until cooked through. Drain off any grease. Add in Velveeta, tomatoes, and green chiles and mix through until cheese is melted.
Step 2Add pasta and meat mixture together in a large bowl. Add bbq sauce, ranch dressing, and a cup of shredded cheese and stir together. Pour into a 2-quart casserole dish and top with the rest of the cheese. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted and heated through.
⭐TIP
I know that some people are not a fan of Velveeta, but I think it’s a must in this dish. It adds a creaminess level you can’t get with other cheeses. As for the BBQ sauce, add the flavor you enjoy. I’ve used mesquite and hickory, and both were a hit.
OTHER PASTA DISHES
Pizza Pasta Skillet – If you love pizza definitely add this one to your list! It’s easy and super versatile and wonderful for a busy night.
Alfredo Marinara Chicken Pasta – This is so easy and combines both alfredo and marinara sauce and we all love it.
Lazy Lasagna – This dish is only 4 simple ingredients and it’s always a hit! Made with frozen ravioli and delicious!
Cheesesteak Pasta Skillet – If you are a fan of cheesesteaks, this easy skillet will be one of your favorites!
STORING, REHEATING & SERVING SIZE
We store any leftovers in the refrigerator and you can reheat in the oven on 350 for 8-10 minutes. It may dry out the pasta so you may need to add more cheese or sauce. You can also just reheat in the microwave. This makes about 8 servings.
